Yew Wah Sports Centre comprises two independent yet interconnected large volumes, each with distinct size, height, and lighting requirements. These volumes are bridged by a split-level section, which naturally forms terraces of spectator steps. The structure and facade of the sports centre embody the raw power of sports, featuring unadorned finishes and collector ramps on the main elevation instead of an arbitrary image based on preconceived notions of a sports facility's appearance.

The organization of different activities within the building is derived from continuous movement, with functional areas seamlessly transitioning into spaces that appear scattered throughout. Whether observing the building from the outside or participating in activities inside, the result is a dynamic experience that captures glimpses of movement. .

耀華體育中心由兩個獨立但相互連接的大體量組成,每個體量都有不同的尺寸、高度和照明要求。這兩個不同的體量通過一個分層區域連接,自然形成了階梯式的觀眾席。體育中心的結構和外觀體現了運動的原始力量,其主立面採用了未經修飾的飾面和收集坡道,而不是基於對體育設施外觀的預設概念。

建築內部活動的組織源於不斷的流動,而不同的功能區域無縫銜接及散佈在其中的空間。無論從外部觀察建築,還是在內部參與活動,結果都是一種不斷移動的動態體驗。
